Update:
Hello,
In a recent update we have received from Terry, he informed us that Marrianne has been moved home for hospice care. He was given information that most patients once in hospice, have an average of 1 month left earthside. Terry has moved into "leave without pay" status for any time he takes off. Please consider donating to help alleviate the costs while he spends time with his wife.

Original Post: Terry is a local Reno teacher. His wife is battling another round of cancer. He's been off work since the first day of school, taking care of his wife's medical needs, his daughter who is a person with autism, and his other daughter. He's the only source of income for his family and has quickly been going through his sick leave. The medical costs, travel costs to hospitals, and daily living expenses have taken a heavy financial toll. One we hope can be eased with some support by good hearted people. Please share and give if you can. Help ease the burden on this beloved father, teacher and friend.

A note from Terry on Aug. 5th
It has been a long time since I have said anything on the media form. Many of my family and friends know that my family has been through many difficult health challenges over many years. Back in the year 2001 my wife Marrianne Tipton was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma and spent a year on chemo. She beat that cancer just to get chronic myelogenous leukemia in 2007. She battled this cancer with medication, but eventually in 2010 she needed a bone marrow transplant. Over the next 11 years she has been in and out of hospitals, surgeries, and had a nerve stimulator placed in her back to help with pain. Last year she needed to have a pain pump placed in her back as well as she wasn't able to walk anymore. We were finally doing better and my wife was up and moving around. We were happy again. About 2 months ago she was getting a sharp pain in her breast. The doctor thought she had a cyst so they placed her on antibiotics but nothing happened the growth kept growing and became very painful. She had a mammogram done but it didn't show anything on the same day she had a ultrasound and it showed a solid mass growing next to her sternum in her left breast. She had a biopsy done on July 13. It came back as breast cancer. When we saw the oncologist he said it was a very aggressive form of breast cancer called inflammatory breast cancer. The plan was to do chemo, mastectomy, and radiation in that order. We got all the markers back from the biopsy and they were all negative, this isn't good. She wanted to see her family before treatment started so she flew to Vegas but never made it out of the plane. She went right from plane to hospital. Her body was fighting pneumonia, sepsis and afib. She finally started to do better after a week in the hospital in Vegas. I brought her home this last Saturday. On Monday of this week her oncologist office told her to go back to the hospital and she was readmitted with another infection. Her pain is out of control as the tumor has grown so much larger in such a short time. We still have not been able to get the PET scan done to stage the cancer. As she keeps going into the hospital for infections. Well, I talk to her oncologist yesterday and he said because the nature of this type of cancer we can't wait anymore to get the PET scan done to find out what type of chemo she needs. He called the surgeon and his partner that is at the hospital to find out what to do. He wants to do the surgery first because the tumor has grown so much. The surgeon came in this morning before visiting hours. The surgery is set for Saturday. Then when she recovers from that we can start chemo. Once the PET scan is done we will know if the cancer has metastasis. It is so hard to believe that my wife had to go through one very bad cancer to now have to go through a third bad cancer. I don't normally ask for help but in this case it is overwhelming.
