For now, here is what happened, why I need your help, and what I hope to accomplish.
1. Bruce Goldish, Santa Barbara guitarist, musician, and street performer was attacked in front of the Arlington Theater on April 17th, 2021. The attacker was after Bruce's tip money and pushed Bruce to the ground, fracturing Bruce's wrist and cutting Bruce's other hand to the point of needing stitches.
2. I have personally talked with Bruce if he is OK with me making this GoFundMe page. He wanted everyone to know that he has insurance and this is not a fundraiser for medical reasons.
3. I (Grey Bear Erickson) wanted to raise funds to give Bruce a financial pillow while he heals and takes his own time to recover, before he brings his music back to us. This is a direct action against the attack Bruce suffered to bring him joy and awareness of how thankful we are as a community to have him as a staple on the streets of Santa Barbara.
4. Please donate if you are in a position to do so. If you don't have money to donate, please write to Bruce through Facebook or his website. Thank you for your consideration.
I hope to raise more than $1,000, but that is the minimum I set for this campaign.
