In just a few short weeks, Michelle and Colleen will be traveling to Lusaka, Zambia to volunteer with Tiny Tim and Friends , a not for profit organization, founded by our parents Tom and Betty Meade and our late brother Dr. Tim Meade, that offers support to HIV+ children and pregnant women throughout Zambia. Our goal is to raise $5,000 to fund the following programs:
Nutrition: Stabilize Malnourished HIV+ Children

47.8% of the Zambian population are estimated to be undernourished. TTF runs a nutritional support program for the pregnant women and children identified as most at risk of suffering from malnutrition or other health problems.
$25 provides an HIV+ child and their family with one week’s nutrition pack.
Packages include
· 5 Kgs of Mealie Meal - (Zambia’s staple food)
· 750g sugar
· 750ml cooking oil
· 1kg pounded ground nuts
· 1 tray of approximately 30 Eggs
· 500g of dried beans
· 500g of Kapenta - (small dried fish common to Zambia)
· 1 liter of milk
· 2kgs soya pieces
· seasonal fruit supplements
Outreach: Identify Unknown HIV+ Pregnant Women and Children

Working in the heart of the community, we increase HIV awareness and identify previously unknown HIV+ individuals. During a community outreach, a TTF team travels into compounds to test and identify HIV+ children and pregnant women while increasing awareness for the entire community.
When an individual is found to be HIV+ they are either:
· Enrolled into the TTF Clinic, where our teams work together to ensure they receive the best medical care and emotional support available, or;
· Supported in accessing care at a relevant facility local to them
$250 can fund one outreach providing HIV testing and counseling services to over 200 individuals.
Staff Training: A Helping Hand for the Helping Hands

TTF has 22 incredible staff members working tirelessly to help others. During our visit we will host a staff retreat which will include training, strategic planning and team building activities. We feel it is critical to take time caring for our staff so they can provide the best services possible to those in need.
$1,500 will fund a weekend training retreat for all 22 staff members
In Summary:
Our total goal is $5,000
· $1,500 will go to the staff training retreat;
· The remaining $3,500 will fund multiple community outreaches ($250 per outreach) and provide nutrition packs ($25 per package) for multiple families
Thank you for taking time to learn about and donate to Tim’s legacy and our families’ passion.
