My name is Havana and as many of you know, I previously raised over $6000 to buy books for the kids in my choir/book club "Rhymers are Readers #37books." 


I also had the opportunity to travel all the way to Ghana with Taylor Richardson "Astronaut StarBright" to deliver books and school supplies to the 17 girls at the St. Bakhita Orphanage.


Now, I want to do the same for the kids in my own community. I want to make sure they go to school with everything that they need.  

I have created this GoFundMe to help raise money to pay for Back-to-School supplies for my book club and the kids that come to my weekly story hour at Mahogany Books in Washington D.C.  


I am asking for your help in providing these kids with some of the materials that they need to be successful.

The supplies I am going to buy:

·      Composition Books (black- no colors or designs)
·      Crayons
·      Small pencil sharpener
·      Colored pencils

·      Sandwich Sized Zip Lock baggies
·      Gallon Sized Zip Lock baggies

·      Expo Dry-Erase markers
·      Box of Tissues
·      Post-It Notes
·      Hand sanitizer or Clorox wipes
 
I will purchase these supplies by August 25th, so that they are ready to go before school starts August 28th.
