Tiny but Tough: Help Emerie Heal Her Heart

GoFundMe Story:
Meet Emerie – Our Brave Baby Girl
Hi, my name is Sean, and I’m the proud parent of a beautiful 14-month-old baby girl named Emerie. She’s our little light — always smiling, always strong — but right now, she’s facing the biggest challenge of her young life.
Emerie was recently diagnosed with Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), a serious condition where there’s a hole in the wall between the two lower chambers of her heart. It's causing her body to work overtime just to keep up — and sadly, her heart can't keep doing it on its own.
The First Signs…
For a long time, something just didn’t seem right. While most babies double or even triple their weight in their first year, Emerie has only gained 7 pounds since birth. That slow growth — despite her best efforts to eat and thrive — was the red flag that led us to doctors, tests, and ultimately… the diagnosis no parent ever wants to hear.
She Needs Open-Heart Surgery
After speaking with specialists, we learned that Emerie needs open-heart surgery to correct the defect and give her a real chance at a full, healthy life. The surgery is urgent. Without it, her little heart will struggle more and more.
How You Can Help
We are asking for your help to support Emerie and our family through this time. The cost of surgery, travel to the hospital, follow-up care, and time off work to be by her side is overwhelming. We are doing everything we can, but we can’t do this alone.
Your donation will help with:
Medical bills and surgery expenses
Post-op medications and cardiac care
Missed work so we can be at her bedside every moment
From the Bottom of Our Hearts…
Emerie is a fighter. She may be tiny, but her spirit is strong. This surgery is her chance to grow, to play, to laugh — to live the life she deserves.
If you can give, we are deeply grateful. If you can share this page, it means the world. Most of all, please keep Emerie in your thoughts and prayers.
Surgery has been scheduled for September 17th
With love and hope,
