Tiny but Mighty McClain
Donation protected
Miriam McClain, daughter of Bryson and Christine Winters, is battling Neuroblastoma. While Christine was 36 weeks pregnant, they found out McClain had a mass and it wasn’t until a few weeks after she was born they were given the terrible news that their newborn baby girl had cancer. The doctors wanted to wait and see if the cancer would grow before doing treatment, and unfortunately the tumor has grown over 50 % in size. St. Jude quickly decided the tumor needed to come out, so surgery is set for April 5th at St. Jude. Christine is off work now for maternity leave, but she was supposed to return to work on April 3rd. Obviously that will not happen now with the upcoming surgery. With the unknown of what comes next with treatments and so Christine can stay home while McClain recovers from surgery, our group of friends wanted to raise funds to help with bills and all of the expenses that comes with hospital stays as they go back and forth to St. Jude. Not only is McClain more prone to illnesses from being a tiny baby, but having cancer makes her more susceptible as well, and she has already had a few hospital visits due to sickness. This doesn’t even include all the testing Christine had to go through while pregnant, the testing Big Brother Bryar had done to make sure he wasn’t also at risk, and all the doctor visits McClain has had in her short (almost) 2 months of life. Bryson and Christine would never ask for help, but if there’s anything our community has shown it’s that we stick together in tough times. Please donate if you’re able. Keep all of them, especially sweet McClain, in your prayers!
