Storm is my sweet 7-month-old kitten who has already faced more challenges than most cats do in a lifetime. Recently, Storm was diagnosed with congenital heart failure due to an enlarged heart. The news was devastating, especially knowing how young and full of life he is. Right now, Storm is hospitalized and fighting hard. Once he comes home, he’ll need two different medications twice a day, regular visits to a cardiologist, ongoing tests to understand the cause of his heart condition, as well as regular blood work and kidney checks. His journey will require extensive medical care for the rest of his life, and I want to do everything possible to give him the best chance.

Cat rescue has always been a passion for me and my sister—we’ve found loving homes for 21 cats this year alone. Storm would have been our 22nd rescue, but with his diagnosis, he will stay with me so I can care for him. We’ve always paid out of pocket for every cat’s food, litter, and medical needs, and I work three jobs to make it all possible. But Storm’s care is more than I can manage on my own. I am reaching out for help because I want to give Storm the fighting chance he deserves.
