Tinsley Hacker- Fighting a Medical Emergency

With a heavy heart we are saddened to announce that Tinsley Hacker passed away on the night of October 24, 2023. At this time Tinsley’s parents , Ariel and Colton are working on the after life process. On behalf of Tinsley’s Mom, Dad and everyone close to the family we thank you for all of the support and prayers. At this point please continue to be in prayer for Ariel and Colton as they go through this incredibly difficult time.

On Saturday October 7th Ariel took her daughter Tinsley to the emergency room in suspicion of her having the flu. She was told that Tinsley has pneumonia and was sent home with antibiotics and to come back the next day if she was not seeing improvement. It was obvious Sunday afternoon that she was declining and Ariel took Tinsley back to the hospital. At that point she was given more antibiotics and sent by ambulance to a children’s hospital in Pensacola, FL where they could take a better look to see if there was anything more serious going on. That night, Ariel and Colton were told that Tinsley wasn’t able to fully breathe on her own and that she would need to be sedated so that she could get an IV and be placed on a breathing tube. Scans and blood work show that her liver is extremely enlarged and further testing is needed to figure out what's causing her to be so sick. She has been sedated since Sunday night and her hemoglobin levels keep dropping. Today, Tuesday the 10th, she was transported by helicopter to Children's Hospital of Alabama in Birmingham to see a liver specialist and get a biopsy. Tinsley is currently on dialysis and is currently waiting results for bone marrow lab test.

Ariel and Colton will be 5 hours away from home and will need help with meals and finances in general. Colton doesn't have any paid time off available and it would be such a blessing for him to be able to take time off from work to be with his daughter and wife in Birmingham. We want them to be able to focus all of their energy on Tinsley and not worry about how the will pay their rent.
