Tinkie the pug needs your help!

Writing this really breaks my heart and I’m asking all of my friends and family to please help donate towards Tinkie’s medical bills. He’s going into surgery in a few hours.

Everyone that has met or seen Tinkie knows that he is the most hyper and energetic dog ever and full of life! He loves his puppy play time and Is always doing something to make people laugh. He’s really known and adored for his little tongue that sticks out and has made many people smile around San Diego and on social media. As my emotional support animal, he has been the best meditation buddy you could ask for.

The past few days Tinkie has been really quiet and has been acting strangely, I’ve been to the vet three times this week already and have acquired $1000 in vet bills so far.

On our first visit, our vet thought he was maybe stung by a bee so she gave him a shot for allergies and did a blood test just in case he ate something toxic and it came back fine.

Our second visit the next day, they performed an X-ray but didn’t see any obstructions or injuries, and prescribed him pain medication and something for his nausea, and antibiotics.

On the third visit, after having really bad diarrhea they gave him IV fluids, and a shot for his pain, and antibiotics.

Since then he’s been yelping in pain, shaking, and constantly licking his lips, and he hasn’t pooped. I have never seen him this lethargic before and I honestly wish I could take his pain away, Tinkie is the sweetest dog ever and I promised him I’d do whatever it takes to get him better. Everyone who knows me knows how much I love him and how much he means to me. The past few nights I’ve constantly woken up to Tinkie crying and looking extremely uncomfortable.
It honestly breaks my heart having him come to me and not knowing what to do to get rid of the pain. Tinkie has always been there for me and now it’s my turn to be there for him.

Today the vet recommended I take him into surgery to do an exploratory of his organs and remove the obstruction after doing a second X-ray and finding a foreign object.

I have reached out to organizations for financial help but I do not qualify based offmy past income. I was recently laid off of work because of the pandemic and just started working again a 4 weeks ago. I know a lot of people are struggling right now as well and I understand, so please only donate if you feel comfortable doing so, or share this. Anything helps!

Tinkie’s surgery and all of his medical procedures are being performed at B street Veterinary hospital in San Diego in case you want to verify. I will post updates as they come.
