Tinkerbells surgery for hip dysplasia

On April 3rd 2025, the world unexpectedly lost a shining light at just 39 years old, Angela. Angela was the kind of person who made a lasting impact on everyone she met. Her compassion, intelligence, and love for others and animals knew no bounds. As a dedicated paramedic with BCEHS, Angela spent years caring for people across British Columbia, from Victoria to Bella Coola, with the majority of her career spent in Surrey on A Platoon.

Angela’s love for animals was deep, and prior to her death, her two fur babies, Kash the cat and Tinkerbell the English Mastiff were her constant companions. Her beloved pets are now in the loving care of her mother, Vikki.

Just months before Angela’s passing, Vikki endured the devastating loss of her uncle, Angela’s great-uncle. She now faces the overwhelming task of managing not only her grief but also a complicated and lengthy estate process for both Angela and her uncle, as neither of them had wills or designated beneficiaries. Through it all, Vikki has shown extraordinary strength, but now she needs our help.

Tinkerbell has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia and will require surgery. As a large dog, her mobility is significantly impacted, making it hard for her to live the active, happy life she deserves. Vikki is committed to giving Tinkerbell the care she needs, and early surgery is essential to improving her quality of life. Additionally, Vikki is exploring water therapy as a form of rehabilitation to help Tinkerbell regain strength.

The cost of surgery, X-rays, medications, and therapy is significant and all funds raised will go directly to Vikki to help her care for Tinkerbell and ease the financial burden during this incredibly difficult time.

Your support will also honour Angela’s memory by ensuring that her beloved companion receives the care she deserves.
Your kindness and generosity mean everything.
