Hi, my name is Shauna Seeteenak and I am Tini’s mom. Tini is an Iqaluit Special breed that we adopted when she was a puppy. She was born on December 23, 2024 and is a little over a year old now. She has 2 furry siblings, Lady and Luna. Lady is a Aussie poo mix and Luna is a black cat. 4 humans that love her too.

On April 19, 2026, Tini had an accident and fractured her pelvis being run over by a vehicle here in Iqaluit. She is currently at the Alta Vista Animal Hospital in Ottawa, but will be transferred to Capital City Animal Hospital to get her emergency surgery done. Her hospital bill is estimated to reach up to 11000 to 15000, and both my spouse and I are currently on parental leave because we adopted a baby in February so our funds are very limited. I would like to ask you for any kind of donation to help Tini’s hospital costs so she can come home to us. Tini is our family, and she is very loved in our home. UPDATE: Tini is waiting for surgery today, April 22nd. The doctors wanted to a CT scan to see if her head, neck, and spine are intact and not broken as she was having issues with one of her paws. Everything was clear from the results and they think that she has bruising on her spinal cord which was causing the issue. Overnight, she improved with that issue. They will put in an NG tube as she hasn’t ate since Saturday. Our hospital bill on the high end will reach up to $15000+. This is an estimated price.

ANOTHER UPDATE:

Tini is out of surgery and is in recovery now. Hopefully she can home in a few days, but she’ll likely be released and discharged tomorrow or on Friday. I’m so thankful everything went well!!

Tini is originally not a people person, and we are her comfort people. Initially, she was not growling at strangers, I guess due to the pain and the pain management meds she was given, but when they put her pain management meds down, she started growling at everyone in the hospital again (lol). We are hopeful and anxious that she will be back home in a couple days if everything goes well.

My pup Tini was discharged this morning! She is currently with a medical boarding home. She will be home with us on Monday. Still a long road of recovery ahead of us, but all that matters is that she’s ok right now. What a big scare everything was!!! I never want to experience that again. Invoice total is going to be around $15,200 It’s worth it though. I didn’t want to lose my Tini Tiny ❤️ Thank you all for your donations and continuing to follow her rocky journey.
