A Miracle Made Possible By All of You

Two years ago, our world shifted overnight when our 19-year-old son, Tinashe was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease. Through every hospitalization, dialysis sessions, and sleepless nights that followed, you never left us to walk in the dark alone.

Because of your prayers, love, and selfless generosity, we could focus entirely on caring for Tinashe rather than the overwhelming weight of medical bills. You truly showed us what it means to be people for and with others.

Today, with hearts overflowing, we praise God for a successful kidney transplant. Tinashe has been given a second chance at life—a miracle born of the Lord’s abundant mercy and made real through you.

Words feel too small to hold our appreciation. Thank you for walking this sacred journey with us. We pray that God enriches your own paths ahead with health, joy, and peace in all your future endeavours.

Tinashe’s Journey: A Hurdle Cleared, But We Still Need Your Help

We are so grateful for the love, support, and prayers you have poured out for Tinashe’s kidney transplant. Your generosity is what has carried us this far.

We want to share an important update on his progress. Following his pre-transplant investigations, Tinashe underwent major surgery and was hospitalized from 17 February 2026 to 2 April 2026.

He is out now, recovering well before the final transplant operation, which will be scheduled as soon as the doctors are fully satisfied with his healing.

However, due to the surgery and related costs which were not in our initial budget, our funds are exhausted. Furthermore, this means that we must extend our stay in India for another three months in order to have the transplant done.

These unexpected circumstances mean we are facing a shortfall. We urgently need to raise top-up funds of approximately $20,000 to assist with the upcoming transplant costs, medical bills, accommodation and food.

As before, we are appealing to you - our community who has already shown us so much love and support. Any contribution, no matter the size, is a lifeline. If you are unable to donate right now, simply sharing this link with your network is just as valuable.

Dear Family, Friends, and Well-wishers,

Help Us Get Tinashe Back on His Feet

Our son, Tinashe Gune, was born on 18 November 2004. After completing high school in 2022 and taking a gap year in 2023, he enrolled at university in South Africa in 2024 to pursue a BTech degree in Civil Engineering.

Tinashe fell seriously ill and was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and since February 2024, he has been undergoing dialysis three times a week while waiting to be cleared for a kidney transplant.

The cost of ongoing dialysis, medical tests, and transplant preparation has been overwhelming and beyond our means. Yet, through the kindness and generosity of many of you, we have come this far — and we are deeply grateful for every word of encouragement, every prayer, and every donation.

We have now reached a critical turning point:

A suitable donor has been found.

A hospital in India (Fortis Hospital, Gurgaon) is ready to receive him, with the procedure expected in December 2025 or early 2026.

To move forward, we urgently need to raise funds to cover the following:

Travel to India for Tinashe, the donor, and one accompanying family member

Accommodation and food for the three during the four-month stay for surgery and recovery (the donor will return home after about one month)

The transplant procedure and all related medical care

Post-operation monitoring and follow-up, both in India and back home

According to the quotation from Fortis Hospital, the estimated cost of medical treatment and accommodation is USD $35,200. Travel, food, and other incidentals are expected to add USD $7 200, bringing the total cost to USD $42,400.

After accounting for funds already raised through last year’s GoFundMe campaign, we still need USD $25 000, plus a contingency of $5000 — bringing our fundraising target to USD $30 000.

We therefore humbly appeal for your support. No contribution is too small — every act of kindness will bring Tinashe closer to regaining his health and continuing his journey toward a bright future.

Dear Family, Friends and Well-wishers,

Let us get Tinashe up and about again!

Tinashe (20) left High school in 2022, and has only just begun his University Education in South Africa. Tinashe is diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and is reliant on dialysis while awaiting the doctors’ clearance to go for a kidney transplant. We are appealing for financial support to cover the costs of his ongoing dialysis treatments and upcoming kidney transplant. Both these costs are beyond the means of the already financially strained family.
