Tina's Pet Hospital Bills
Donation protected
Hi Everyone,
Our family's dog Tina was ran over by a truck last night. She got out of the house when someone from church had come to the door to give our younger daughter a small treat for her birthday and to see how our girls were doing. Unfortunately Tina found her way out to the street where she was hit. Our oldest daughter Bella saw her get hit and roll on the asphalt. My wife was the one who ran to Tina as she was standing by the front door. Tina was bleeding from her front paws so my wife rushed her to the nearest Emergency Animal Clinic. When she got there they did an emergency crisis assessment on Tina. (They will give us a full report as soon as all the tests come back) My wife was bombarded by a ton of information on Tina but there were two things she was able to remember. The Dr told my wife that she did notice Tina's pupils being a different size, a possible sign of brain injury, and one lung is quieter than the other which could be a possible sign of internal bleeding or internal bruising . Tina had to stay over night and she is in the ICU now. We are praying she will be ok and that she will be able to come home to us soon. Tina is Bella's companion and her best friend (aside from Abu, her stuffed animal)
How we got Tina: Bella worked for months setting up shop with a Lemonade Stand to have the money to purchase Tina. She would enthusiastically work EVERY Saturday for 5 hrs per day hoping she could have a furever buddy. Tina is a red Poodle born on 12/17/20 and was brought home on 2/10/21. Bella's Lemonade Stand started in June of 2020
We don't know the exact amount of everything but it sounds like Tina will need surgery to take care of the internal problems. Any donation will help tremendously! A $3,200 cost has been estimated by the Clinic.
Thank you for your support!
* We would like to acknowledge the young man who was the driver. He came back and was with us supporting us with Tina. He was very empathetic with the situation and cared for the well-being of Tina.
