Tina's Health Battle: A Mother's Fight

Dear All,

I am reaching out to you with a vulnerable yet hopeful heart. On April 10th, 2025, I will be undergoing a hysterectomy at Oro Valley Hospital in Tucson, AZ. After much consultation with my healthcare team, it has become clear that this surgery is essential for improving my quality of life and preventing further complications.

As some of you already know, I have been facing ongoing health challenges since the summer of 2019. What started as occasional abdominal discomfort quickly evolved into constant and relentless pain. I have been undergoing treatments at Arizona Blood and Cancer Specialists, Tucson Medical Center, Banner University Teaching Hospital and Northwest Hospital to mention but a few. Despite countless doctor visits, tests, infusion treatments, and surgeries, I still find myself constantly in and out of the hospital, trying to manage symptoms that seem to worsen over time.

I would like to express my deep and since gratitude to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey through emotional encouragement, checking in on me, and simply offering a listening ear. Your kindness has been a source of strength that has helped me push through some of the darkest moments.

This surgery is my last resort. The decision has not come easy, but it is a necessary one to help me regain my health and remission to start living without constant pain. The reason this surgery is so important to me is not just for my own health, but because I want to be present for my three beautiful girls. As a mother, there is nothing more important to me than physically, emotionally, and mentally being there for my children. This recovery will not only help me find relief from my daily pain, but it will also give me the strength and energy I need to fully raise and support my daughters as they grow. I want to be able to be active in their lives, share in their joys, and provide them with the care and love they deserve.

Unfortunately, this surgery and the recovery process come with a significant financial burden. The costs associated with the surgery as well as post-operative care, and medications, are overwhelming. Because of this, I am humbly asking for your help. Any support, regardless of the amount, would be greatly appreciated and help reduce stress as I focus on healing.
