Meet Tina. Tina is one of the most vibrant souls in the world. In the past year Tina’s world has seen lots of ups and downs. Everything seemed to be going great! She had a great Job as a professional nanny, a great boyfriend, now FIANCE’, and a budding music career! Then one day, she woke up with horrible back pain that spread down her legs. The pain was so constant and worsen as every day passed. She went to countless doctors trying to get to the bottom of why she was in so much pain. At first it was a simple diagnosis or Sciatica. She would just need to take some steroids to help with the inflammation and maybe a few back adjustments ice and rest. Nope! Days turn to weeks. That was not working. Then came shots in the spine! That did not work. More Doctor visits and test, x ray and scan. The symptoms continued to worsen to the point that she became very unstable on her feet as was prone to falls. She had to stop performing with her band (A life long Dream and what she was alway born to do!) It was just too much. Then one day while caring for the family she was working for, she stumbled while holding the newborn baby and the parents saw. They decided, for the safety of the children they would have to terminate her employment. Now more Doctor appointments and finally and diagnosis and plan. She was diagnosed with (be ready folks, This is a long on…) Bilateral Foraminal Stenosis at L5 in addition to Osteophytic Ridging and Facet Hypertrophy. With everything that had already been tried to alive the pain there was nothing left to do.
On April 14, 2017, Tina underwent surgery to repair the damage. The surgeon was wonderful and is expecting a great recovery. Problem is...It is a very long recovery. Tina will be out of work for a minimum of 12 weeks. Insurance covered a lot of the expense but still left her with a huge financial burden. With that and just day to day living expenses things look very grim! Please help Tina with whatever you can. The medical bills alone are almost $18,000.00. Anything is appreciated
