In 2017, I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. I had surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments. I responded well to the treatments and went back to work. I went to all of my follow up appointments, and mammogram screening.
A couple of months ago I started to feel pain and discomfort. I thought to myself that it may be the flu. When I did not have a fever, I went to see my oncologist. Tests showed that I now have stage 4 triple negative breast cancer that has spread throughout my entire body. It is a very aggressive type of breast cancer that has a very low survival rate
I am a divorced mother of two beautiful children. Robert is a 29 year old passionate vegan chef, and a young man that any mother would be proud to have as a son. Kelly is my 18 year old daughter who we were blessed to have after 11 years. She loves make up and fashion. She is going to college in NY to pursue her dream of pursuing a career in the fashion industry.
I am fortunate to have medical insurance that is covering the radiation treatments, and the chemotherapy that I am receiving to help slow down the aggressive nature of this type of breast cancer. To give me more time.
I need help with covering the costs of caregivers and burial expenses so that my family can focus on each other and loving and healing during the hard times and hard time to come. Thank you because any help goes a long way. I want to do what I can in my unfortunate state to help my family, my children, be in a good place when I leave them.
