Tina Young

Those who know Ms. Tina Young know how big her heart is. Right now she is going through one of the toughest times anyone could go through, just 2 short years after her fathers passing. Her sister Pamela Young who is only 41 years young was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011. After receiving treatment (chemo & radiation) she was cancer free until June of 2016. She had made a routine doctors visit because she was having pain and was then diagnosed with stage 4 cancer which has since spread all over. She received treatments in Durham at the Duke Cancer Center up until a few weeks ago. She has been and out of the hospital for over several weeks, only to find out it had spread to her liver. After going back to the cancer center on Friday, April 13th for treatment which they could not give due to the electrolytes not being on target. All of this has caused her to be very confused and swollen. She was then admitted to Novant in Huntersville because she wanted to be closer to her 4 children. After completing all of the tests and performing numerous procedures, the doctors said that if they continued chemo it would only make her life shorter. After hearing this all she wanted to do was go home so she could spend time with her family. Currently she is now home and hospice has been helping daily. She is continuing to hang in there and will say to Ms. Tina daily that she is going to get better for her children. We truly believe that god can work miracles, so we continue to pray and be strong for her and her children. 
In all of this Ms. Tina has been working two jobs, running back and forth from her sisters home to her own, taking care of her sisters children, her own child and grandchild all while keeping that beautiful smile on her face. We at CBA are right by her side and want to give her everything she needs to help her through this hard time, so we are asking for your help.
