Tina Cummings was an amazing light that touched each person lucky enough to meet her. She lived her life devoted to caring for others, both human and fuzzy companion alike. Beyond volunteering her free time to care for injured animals, she worked tirelessly as a nurse for twenty-five years. Tina spent the past ten years serving as a critical care nurse where she provided an incredible sense of security and comfort to all of her patients and was highly respected and appreciated by her colleagues.
Tina will be remembered most for her passion for people. She built strong, meaningful relationships with those she met and was dedicated to supporting her friends and family with intensity and conviction. Tina’s infinite love paired with her fierce passion for life resonated with all that knew her, and she will continue to inspire those that she touched for many years to come.
Tina developed a passion for horses at a young age and would go on to have a competitive jumping career as a teen. Naturally Crystal, Tina’s 16-year old daughter followed in her mother’s footsteps and also fell deeply in love with horses. It didn’t take long before Crystal’s talent began to shine. Tina quickly realized her daughter had immense natural talent, and thus began Tina’s dream to see Crystal reach her full potential as an equestrian.
It wasn't just Crystal's abilities that Tina wanted to nurture. Tina and her husband, Dale recognized that Crystal's relationship with horses and riding were at the foundation of her development as a young woman. Investing in Crystal's riding became about more than just seeing her be a successful competitor; it was an investment in her future happiness. Ultimately by allowing Crystal to compete in the junior circuit, she would be able to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to potentially build a future career in the horse industry.
Tina fully committed herself to supporting Crystal’s riding career and wanted nothing more than to provide all the opportunities necessary to see Crystal excel in the sport. The pair spent every day together at the barn where they shared their mutual love of horses, and at home the Cummings’ family made all the sacrifices, financial and emotional, needed to allow Crystal to ride competitively.
Just as Crystal began this year’s circuit, the unimaginable struck. Tina tragically passed away from a sudden car accident on her way to work leaving behind her loving husband Dale, son Jon, and daughter Crystal.
Tina’s dream in life was to have Crystal realize her full potential. Tina worked with every fiber of her being to ensure she could provide Crystal with every resource and opportunity she would need to succeed. Please help us keep Tina’s dream alive by donating. All monies donated will be used as a Memorial Fund to help perpetuate TINA'S DREAM for Crystal's success.
Tina was radiant inside and out.
