Tina Sanchez - Fundraiser
Donation protected
Maria (Tina) Sanchez was diagnosed with Parkinsonism four years ago. She has fought a tough battle for those four years. On December 13, 2021 Tina was admitted to Kaiser because of a bedsore that had caught an infection. The doctors had to wait a couple of days to carry out surgery due to a blood clot they found in her lung and a high fever. The wound from the surgery was very deep, and we were warned that it would get infected and that there was nothing more that they could do for her.
The doctors gave Tina one to two months, and we are now one month in from the time she left the hospital. On Thursday, January 20, 2022, her hospice care nurse informed us that the wound had started to get infected and that we should prepare and start having loved ones come by to visit.
Our family is completely devastated as we prepare for Tina’s transition to the other side. We have done everything possible and continue to make Tina as comfortable as possible during her last days with us.
We will use the funds donated via GoFundMe for her funeral services and other hospice care expenses.
