A Final Farewell to Tina Moran (Tinita)

Hi, my name is Gloria Salas and I'm fundraising to help my Godson, Reese Ortiz to deal with the most difficult thing any of us will ever experience: the loss of his beloved mother. Despite the grief, the heartache, and the uncertainty of what your life will be like after this, the reality of what needs to be done and the costs involved in getting her human remains a resting place are daunting.

Just Saturday night ( February 17th), she was happily singing songs with Reese and Inoe. Midnight Sunday, Tina's voice woke Reese up to find her unable to move and very rapidly transitioning to non-responsiveness. Tina was taken on an ambulance to the ER where after doing a thorough evaluation, doctors determined that she would not recover from a massive stroke that had rendered her brain dead, and the only compassionate thing they could do was to provide her with palliative care.

Monday night, Tina took her last breath after being disconnected from a respirator that kept her breathing. She passed away with no pain and no suffering on Monday, February 19th at 7:30PM.

Tina, this wonderful, happy lady, who was always singing and who, despite her memory loss due to dementia, never lost her charisma and joy de vivre deserves to be taken to her final resting place with humbleness and dignity.

This is the reason why I have decided to reach out to you, my friends, and those friends of friends, and anybody else who feels this is something worth lending a hand to, so that Tina can have a proper funeral service. I'm humbly asking you to support us in this time of grief and financial hardship. We hope to be able to give Tina her final farewell with your financial support. Reese is planning to have a Memorial Service to celebrate Tina's life. Once a location, date, and time is set up, I will share it with you all.
