Tina Marie's Fight: Single Mama with Aggressive Cancer

Thank you for taking the time to read my sister's story. My brave and courageous sister, Tina Marie, has been diagnosed with Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, Grade 3, Stage 2B. Tina Marie is battling a very aggressive form of breast cancer and is currently warrior-ing through her 4th week of chemotherapy.

My sister is a single mother of twin boys (William and Robert) and a daughter (Kat). Tina has raised her children as a single mother since the kids were very young. For her children, she has dedicated her life to ensuring each child was receiving the assistance, therapies, and countless resources they have needed to be the best version of themselves and grow to one day be independent and thrive.

If you are reading this and you know my sister, you know the many challenges she has faced as a mother of special needs children. If you do not know my sister, you would be amazed at the superhuman strength she has embodied in the name of inclusivity.

Tina has tirelessly worked two jobs for many years to keep the family afloat. Unfortunately, neither place of employment offers any form of paid medical leave. My sister needs your help. While she weathers the difficult storms of the toll of chemotherapy, while doing the best she can to continue working, she has been unable to continue her second job as it is far too physically demanding for her condition.

It is also becoming more difficult each week to complete her work week at her main job.

The reality is, the weeks will get harder. My sister has a long fight ahead of her and my hope is to ease as much of the stress as possible for her to allow her body to fight this fight without a huge financial burden weighing her down.

Tina has completed 4 out of 12 chemotherapy treatments. Once those are complete, she will endure an additional 12 treatments of another drug. After 6 months of treatment, the mass will be surgically removed and a decision of a full mastectomy must be decided.
