Well is been it’s been a journey for me to say the very least, yet I still feel so blessed and fortunate.

I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematous (SLE) when I was 19, it was one heck of a trip to finally figure what was wrong with me- but we got there. Since learning that I have SLE I have learned so many wonderful ways to manage my SLE as healthy as possible (that didn’t come without a few rough learning curves lol).

My way of explains SLE to people think of SLE as an umbrella. That umbrella is the main disease then dangling below that are all these sub diseases that may or may not get as a complication of SLE. You body is alway hyper vigilant and can plan an attack against right out of left field.

Well right now I’m having one of those attacks and sub diseases.

I have TMJ and have had it since a little girl. It’s now causing massive bone Spurs.

Those Spurs are leaving bone and nerves exposed 100%. That exposure has cause a rapid infection.

There’s only 4 meds that treat the infection and so far I’m allergic to 3 of them. I’m on the last one now.

The overall end treatment that is needed is intense.

I need to have my gums opened up all the way. Bone Spurs filed off and some of my jaw filled so there less chance of future inflammation.

While the gums are open they need to evaluate which teeth are no longer viable from the aggressive infection.

My insurance will luckily cover everything but the bone prosthetics and bridges I will need.

There’s no way I have $6,000 for the uncovered portion of surgery, but at the same time it will become life threatening. Unfortunately I can’t book surgery until I have insurance to cover the whole balance or a I need to have the non covered insurance portion paid prior to surgery..... the madness us humans have to go through for our own health/chance at survival.

I hate the idea of needing to do a fundraiser (I’m a pretty stubborn and hard working lady), but I hate the idea of not being around for all those who love me and need me even more.
