Hello, my name is Kristy DeFazio and I am an elementary teacher from James J. Flynn School.  For over 8 years I have had the privilege of working alongside a fellow colleague, Tina Hyer. 

Tina has been a teacher for the past 15 years working with both first grade and second grade students from Perth Amboy.  Tina is well known for her genuine personality and outgoing sense of humor.

As of June 2016, Tina was diagnosed with a progressive stage of Uterine Cancer.   By August 2016, she went through a series of surgeries and treatments that have prevented her from returning to work.   As you can imagine, or have personally experienced, caring for a family and household while battling cancer is never an easy task.  That is why I am asking for your support to help raise money for a fellow teacher, wife, mother, and friend.  Thank you in advance!
