Tina Cook a dear friend and loved member of the diving community as suffered severe injuries do to a horrific accident while diving off the coast of West Palm beach.
While attempting to reboard the charter boat, engine engaged and Tina was pulled into the massive prop beneath the boat. Without going into deep details, the damage inflicted was immense; Tina shuffered a shattered pelvis, bone deep wounds from her lower back down to her knees alsong with severed muscles and tendons.
Tina is in for a long and hard road to recovery, and will half to endure unbearable pain, multiple reconstructive surgeries and years of intensive therapy and rehabilitation.
To make matters worse, Tina cannot be moved from the facility were they are currently treating her, effectively cutting her off from the desperately needed support system of her friends and family. Quite frankly it is the equivalent of being thrown in jail and being tortured, with only strangers around in a sterile environment while enduring pain and despair.
