Tim's Journey: Battling Cancer and Bills
Donation protected

Tim Batson
During the last week of March and the first week of April, Tim was unable to go to work due to back pain. After three doctor visits, his new primary care physician sent him to the ER on April 7th, where he informed the attending medical staff he was a DNR. He spent the rest of the week in the hospital, was given a diagnosis of cancer, and was slowly convinced by his own worries for his children and myself to seek treatment. He was immediately given a chemo port, told he would not be returning to work anytime soon, and was sent home soon after to begin outpatient treatment.

In the nearly two weeks following, his funds have dwindled to the point that we have had to turn down some of his prescriptions because we cannot afford them.

We have used up two tanks of gas getting him to his appointments in the nearly two weeks since. We are currently waiting for his employer and his insurance to inform us about his short-term disability and how much of a co-pay he will be required to pay for his growing hospital bills while he is currently stressing about whether he can afford rent and utilities in the coming months. I don't ask much for him, but I've chosen a goal that I hope will keep his bills and transportation paid through the worst of these trying times.

As of May 7th, we have raised $175 through GoFundMe and Tim has been admitted to the hospital again.
