You know that feeling where you are just going through life living it like all is well and then something tragic hits and it's like you are in a bad dream? That is exactly what this family is going through. Amber's parents, Tim and Lea Novick, had been getting ready to build their dream home on a piece of beautiful property that they just bought while raising their 4 yr old Grandson Linkoln.
That was sadly all put to a stop on July 15th, 2016 Tim was diagnosed with Cancer. It came down to a rare Melanoma cancer that was acting fast. If you don't know, this type of cancer is usually found on the skin and it is a very smart type of cancer, so finding the proper treatment has not been easy. The cancer has continued to spread and cause tumors to grow and since July they have done radiation, chemo and immuno therapy options and they are currently using another form of immuno therapy and radiation in an attempt to stop the cancer from spreading. Monday, November 21st, 2016 Tim was admitted to the ER and has been hospitilized ever since. On Thanksgiving while most families were together celebrating, Amber stayed at their house to spend the day with Linkoln and wait on updates from her mom as her dad had underwent emergency surgery on new tumors found on his spine that was and still is causing hopefully only temperary paralyzation from the nipples down. Right now the goal is for Tim to come home to his family. To continue recording music with his friends, celebrating holidays with his family and making more memories with everyone.(Currently Amber and her mom are making almost daily trips to make sure he isn't alone at the hospital.) First they want him healed enough to go to a rehabiliation center for 3 weeks and while there he will be transported back and forth by ambulance (which adds up as well) to his treatments. Problem is that their house is not wheel chair accessable for when he is able to come home, nor do they have the funds after all these other treatments they are still trying to catch up on, to move him home. They will need a wheelchair amungst other things that will help with his current parapalegic state. This is a family where if you go to them with something they say "Well, what can we do to help?" Tim has touched so many lives in this community and been such a big part. This family helps others and what I am asking is this time to get your help. To help them in the time of need. We are hoping for the funds to make him comfortable at home, medical expenses and help with bills, since he is no longer able to provide for his family. They have been pretty private about all of this and we would like to not overwhelm them so please do not contact them personally. If you have further questions please get ahold of Amber, Tims daughter and she will be sure to pass along or answer anything. Thank you for any thoughts, donations and taking the time to read.
