On November 8, my family fled the Camp Fire in my hometown of Paradise, California. My mom and her husband were able to grab their three dogs and rescue my grandma from her nearby home. My sister and her family were also able to escape with their dogs but nothing else. My brother and his wife, who is eight months pregnant, and nephew have also been displaced by the fire. So have my cousins. I am thankful my family escaped this devastating fire and I’m trying to help them rebuild.
