Timothy Recovers from 2 Attacks
Hello, my name is Karly Mixon. I am the daughter of Timothy and Madeline Mixon. My dad needs your help right now. On July 19th, he had a black widow heart attack. We did not know he was having a heart attack at the time and immediately rushed him to the hospital. After many tests and scans, we were told he needed to have multiple surgeries including a triple bypass and ablasion. One of his arteries were 100% blocked while the other is 50% blocked. 30 minutes prior to the surgery, he unexpectedly had a severe stroke. They continued forward with the surgeries and realized post surgery that my dad is now completely paralyzed on the right side of his body. He can no longer eat, swallow, speak or move his head. The next day after the surgery, he went back in to AFIB and now has pneumonia and a lung infection. The hospital is keeping him sedated as much as possible so he does not feel the pain of the cracked ribs and surgery on his heart and heals safely through the pneumonia.
If you know my dad, you have always seen him standing strong on his feet, fixing someone's AC unit, playing the guitar, building projects, working on the lawn, or working on his sail boat. We can only imagine how hard and painful this journey is going to be for him, physically and mentally. When my dad makes it through the pneumonia, infections and recovers from both the attack on his heart and brain, he will be in rehabilitation and therapy for a very long time. He will than have to see a brain surgeon for the blockage on the right side of his brain. Unfortunately, the 100% blockage on the left side of his brain can not be repaired through surgery.
He is a fighter. He is strong and we are praying everyday for his recovery. Your help would mean the world to Tim and our family. All funds that are collected will be contributed to his medical expenses, recovery, and rehabilitation. Thank you for your support.
