For those of you who don't know him, this is my brother Timothy,
In the waning days of October 2016, he experienced what he described as a migraine that lasted about 36 hour. He described having a strong familiar floral odor without being able to place the smell or being near what would produce it and later having a hearing sensations where the air circulation in the house as "a helicopter rotor in my head" and the animals outside as "tiny jackhammers". Having to be at work at 6:30 am for a busy long day, he took himself to the Emergency Room and after a cautionary scan was admitted to the hospital receiving the diagnosis of a large (tennis ball) sized mass in his Right Temporal Lobe. The mass has been diagnosed as a Stage 4 Gliomablastoma.
A few days later he underwent a procedure to physically remove the tumor and spent the following week recovering in the hospital and then a week in a rehabilitation hospital.
Surgery was successful and Tim has physically done very well throughout the entire process; as he recovers and deals with and side effects associated with treatments. He continues his treatment and with the hopes of acceptance into a NIH clinical trial. He still has a long period of treatment remaining. This is a long term process and going forward through the weeks, months and years, Tim will receive scans and MRI's frequently to look for any change of this tumor.
For those of you who don't know Tim or think he might appear familiar he is a people person and works in the hospitality industry for an incredible local company. You may have met him at Founding Farmers, who have been incredibly supportive and understanding through this life altering diagnosis, supporting him with time and space to be treated and recover. Many of you may know that the restaurant industry is both physically demanding with long hours and mentally challenging with time management and customer service skill sets. Timothy has not been able to work and the service industry does not have the same benefits as a traditional jobs their is no short term or long-term disability. Tim has not been able to work and the medical bills have begun to roll in and are increasing rapidly.
A continuing request for prayers for Tim, his family and close friends.
Any amount you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you -
