This campaign began as a way to help with funeral costs for my dad, Timothy John Pension. Thanks to your kindness, we were able to give him the respect he deserved.

Now, this GoFundMe continues with a new purpose — to take him home to the Country he loved most.

Releasing Dad’s Ashes — Back to Country

In the coming weeks, we will be releasing Dad’s ashes in the Country he loved most — the desert lands of Marree, Lake Eyre, and the Flinders Ranges.

This was where he felt most at home, most himself, and most at peace.

It’s where the silence took him in — and the land understood first.

It will be a moment of both grief and gratitude —

grief for all the years he carried more than his share,

and gratitude that he now rests in the land that welcomed him without condition.

In honouring him this way, we are keeping our promise:

to lay him to rest where his spirit truly belonged,

and to carry forward his story with truth, love, and dignity.

Your kindness and support have made it possible for us to do this the way he deserved — with care, respect, and connection to Country.
