Our names are Patti Barr and Mona Galliher, and we would like to tell you about our best friend. He was Mona's fiancé and, for the last 12 years, Patti's business partner. His name is Timothy K. Igou.

Timothy started his working career as a commercial fisherman. He has also been a dishwasher, a cook, a woodcraftsman, and the yard manager for a storage facility here in Homer, Alaska. Of his various jobs, he loved fishing and making furniture and various items out of wood the best.

Early in the afternoon on October 24, 2025, Timothy, due to immense levels of stress he took upon his own broad shoulders to relieve and help others, reached his breaking point and took his own life.

No one, least of all Mona and myself, were in any way prepared for something like this. We were all in the middle of packing to move as the storage facility that we worked and lived at had been sold, and we had to be out by the 30th of October. Moving is expensive enough, and we barely had enough saved to cover that.

Now we also have to cover the expenses of having Tim's remains taken care of. He wished to be cremated and his ashes spread out to sea. We need $2100 to accomplish this. We also feel we need to help out his daughter, Karli, and his son, Patrick, with their expenses for returning to Alaska so they can say their goodbyes to their father and get the closure they need. To help Timothy' children we need around $2000.

Tim's dream, for the immediate and foreseeable future, was to return to our woodworking craft, return to making wood furniture and other household items. We had already made plans and gathered quite a bit of wood and burls to get the business going again. To start fulfilling Timothy's dream will take at least $5000.

Mona and I wish to fulfill Tim's dream.

But we need help! We have spent every penny saved on moving so far, and we're still not completely finished even though we've been working ourselves until too exhausted to move. It's just the two of us most of the time, as most of those who promised to help haven't.

We want to do right by Tim, who was a man who absolutely loved to help others. He would give you the shirt off his back if he even thought you needed it.

Can you please help us? It doesn't have to be much; every little bit would help and be a blessing.

As a Thank You for all donations, our first TKI Custom Woodworking project will be to engrave every donors name upon a bench which will be placed where we spread his ashes as a memorial site.

Thank you!
