Timor floods: Help rebuild ETDA Youth Centre

Chances are that if you have been in Timor-Leste and ever ate great food, stayed in well-run accommodation or took a tour, ETDA-trained students helped to make it memorable.
For the past 20 years, the East Timor Development Agency has instructed thousands of young people from all across Timor in Hospitality, Tourism, Languages and Business skills.
These candidates become job-ready and career-ambitious. ETDA gives them hope. It changes lives.
And now – having already suffered periods of forced closure due to COVID – much of ETDA has been devastated by the Easter rains and floods. ETDA has sustained severe structural damage to its training centre and much of its equipment and furniture have been water damaged. This setback is heart-breaking for ETDA and the many hundreds of students who rely on ETDA to build their skills for a better future.
ETDA must now re-build before it can re-open. ETDA needs your help.
Timor-Leste wants to be Hospitality- and Tourism-ready in post-COVID, post- flood times. Timor-Leste has risen from devastation before and will rise again.
