Hello, my name is Cristie and my father is Tim Oldfield and we need your help. He was diagnosed with lung cancer about 3 years ago and was told he had 18 months to live. He went through chemo and radiation at the VA in SLC. The cancer tumor has not changed since. He has had 2 biopsies in the last year and a half wich have not gone well. The first in october of last year wich they found squamous cancer and his lung collapsed. He then went through radiation again. The second was march 7 2016 and we found out he has squamous cancer again in his lower lung. The treatment is radiation but they are concerned because my dads lungs are so damaged with scar tissue because of the radiation.
My dad has such a big heart and always tries to help everyone he has met. He is a kind, loving man and a great father. He has made mistakes in his life and blames hiself for everything that has gone wrong. He carries all the guilt and pain around with him. I can see it in his eyes, how hurt he is. I just want him to find peace in god and forgive himself for things he had no control over. I love my father so very much.
Im asking for help with the continued care of my father, for travel, hotels, and PRAYERS. I want to be with him during all of the stuff that comes next. I want to hold his hand and never let it go. So i need your help, your support, your prayers.
My father has a son that he loves very much that he has not seen for 40 years. He lives in texas and has 3 kids. We were planning a summer vacation to go see him and meet him. This is really importaant to my father. I believe he should beable to see his son and talk to him before anything happens to him. I dont want to wait till its to late. I want my father to be at peace in his heart and soul. I want to know he goes with god, so please pray for my father. I need all the help i can get, i cant raise enough money to do this by myself. God is with me but it is still so very hard to be strong for me and my family. I still need my daddy.
