Timoci is joining the British Army
Donation protected
I have been the luckiest girl in the world to have travelled to so many wonderful countries to dive some beautiful places and experience local culture and local village life. These opportunities have meant I have met some incredible and awe inspiring people. Families who spend everyday trying to survive in extreme times the likes that many of us would never understand.
A year ago I met my lovely friend Peii. She lives in a village on the North coast of Fiji with her partner and 14 year old son. As a result I became friends with her brother Timoci (or Jnr as I call him). Jnr has had a lifelong ambition to join the British Army and at last part of this journey has become real. He has been accepted and has been asked to attend Litchfield, UK on the 30th June 2024 to take part in the assessment centre process.
This is not as simple as you would think as he or his family are provided no financial support to travel to and from the UK to do this. The flights cost £1500. A small amount to some but a few years of saving for others , including Tim and his family.
I have offered to assist where I can but I was wondering if any of my lovely friends out there would be able to help Jnr fulfil his dream of becoming a British soldier. I think it’s the least we can do for a wonderful person willing to sacrifice all to serve our country.
If you are able to help with a few pennies Jnr, Peii and I would be eternally grateful.
