Hi everyone! I’m raising funds for Timmy the Chinese pond turtle.

The local early years nursery will soon be looking after him, giving fun & joy to all the children.

He doesn’t require much but the more he receives, the better his habitat. 20p here and there will go along way and most importantly, the health & wellbeing of Timmy and all those children!

From the early years setting;

We are excited to share a little update about our much-loved nursery turtle Timmy! The children have absolutely adored having him in the setting when he came for his visit. Timmy the turtle will be a great asset for the nursery as turtles are calm and predictable creatures.

Having a pet in the setting brings so many developmental benefits. Through Timmy, the children learn:

-Responsibility

-Empathy and kindness

-Science and curiosity

-Communication and language

-Calm and wellbeing

Some children may not have the chance to have a pet due to their community circumstances, so we are excited to offer them this opportunity.

We are currently looking for small donations to support Timmy coming into the nursery, any contribution, no matter how small, is truly appreciated and goes directly to keeping Timmy happy and healthy for the children.

We will of course follow strict hygiene procedures, and your child's health and safety are always our highest priority!
