In January this year timmy was diagnosed with helicobacter pylori which is a bacteria in the gut. He was treated with antibiotics but got sick again a few months later and was given 2 further lots of antibiotics for the same condition,. After the 3rd lot of antibiotics and he was getting sicker, he started to lose weight and was feeling nauseous and went to a different Dr who immediately thaught he had pancreatitis and ordered blood tests, ct scan, ultrasound and mri which found the pancreatic tumor. The diagnosis was a total shock as he never gets sick and just knocked the wind out of our sales. He went to a specialist the same week and was operated on in wagga base 2 days later. Two surgeons simultaneously operated for 6 hours to perform a life saving Whipple Surgery along with a huge team of other specialist intensive care drs and nurses.

This operation removed the head of his pancreas, the bile ducts, Gaul bladder and part of the duodenum, 14 lymph nodes and has potentially saved his life. Once he is strong enough he will undergo 6 months of chemo therapy to kill any further cancer spores that haven't germinated.

There's a long uncertain journey ahead but Timmy is positive and hasn't complained once about the whole situation. He was more worried how he was going to tell his kids then having cancer.

Anyone who knows him personally knows what a kind generous man he is with a big heart who would help anyone who needed it.

He's been a hard worker all his life but after the huge surgery won't know how that will affect his ability to work or how his life will be. Because he lives in a small rural town he will have to travel to have his chemotherapy treatment along with any associated expenses. Any money given will go towards those expenses.
