Timmy's Fight: Help Cover His Bills

Donation protected
My name is Lacey Baumann. Twin sister of Lindsay. Frank and Lindsay were in Chicago for a sudden death in Frank’s family. While they were away, Linda, Lacey and Lori were taking care of the dogs and the farm. When Lacey went over to let the dogs outside and feed them dinner, Timmy flopped over and was unable to get back up. Lacey rushed them to the emergency vet in the meantime while Frank and Lindsay were visiting with family in Chicago Lacey called them to come home and meet at the emergency vet. They told us that there was a neurological disorder and that he would need to be seen as soon as possible we took him to the vet in Oxford and they referred Timmy down to a neurologist in Madison. He is down there right now. They are making him comfortable. They will be doing an MRI of the spine to see what would be causing these issues, Timmy is in good hands at the University of Wisconsin and we just pray for the veterinarian and the vet tech to have sturdy helping hands for Timmy. During all of this an unexpected quote rolled in just under $10,000.00 We are doing everything we can for Timmy at this time and we will do the surgery if the doctors think it will help the little man. I am trying to get help financially for Lindsay and Frank as this was an unexpected bill trying to help their baby boy. They do not know about this because it’s not something they would expect. But I’m hoping we can all pull together and help them with this medical bill. We are taking cash, check, Venmo, and PayPal donation and we will give them all to Lindsay and Frank as Timmy heals and recovers. He will be hospitalized until at least Monday and then if they do surgery a couple days after that if you are willing and able to financially help that is greatly appreciated. If you cannot, we just ask for prayers. Timmy is the sweetest most gentle dog and we’re trying to give him every chance that we can.

Long Post Alert

Well we got to visit with our baby boy for about 30 minutes today. The 2.5 hours of drive time is worth every minute. ❤️❤️

It is never good when the neurologist says, “this is a very very weird case.”

As you can see in the photo of his spine, his 1st and 2nd vertebraes are very messed up. His 1st one being fused to his skull. They should look identical on both sides. Now, they are still trying to figure out if this is the cause of him not being able to stand, walk, eat, or drink, but they believe they have it pin pointed. The fuse of the vertebrae is causing a pinch on his spinal cord. Nobody knows how this had such a sudden effect but we are trying all we can for our baby boy. This Is something he was born with.

When we left today, the update was all his teams of doctors were going to come together and call us this afternoon with a plan! We will definitely let you know when there is a plan. One of the possible plans mentioned was surgery with plates, pins, screws, and brackets. But we don’t know if that would guarantee a normal life.

He does not seem to be in pain at all. And he knew when we would stop petting him because he would lift is head and look at us. He gave his mommy and daddy a kiss with his nose how he normally does when we ask for kisses ❤️ we also heard he ate a meatball this morning!!

We are fighting hard for our baby boy and will continue to do so. His fight is our fight!!

We will LOVE you forever baby Tim Tim!! We are all praying so hard for you.

Adding to it as we just got a call:
They are going to try to get him to eat tonight. If not, they are doing a feeding tube tomorrow. They are also starting a steroid tonight. Neurology is calling tomorrow with the next steps.

TIMMY is out of the critical care unit and coming home today!!

update 6/11 Afternoon
WOW!

How stuff can change in a few short hours. From my phone call this morning, I was bringing my baby boy home. Now he is staying another 4-6 days with surgery tomorrow morning.

We seriously need all love and prayers during this time. Please pray for the doctor who will be preforming as this is a VERY DANGEROUS surgery. Pray for Timmy, who will be on anstesia. Im sure you can imagine, but we are a WRECK!!

This surgery is adding $6,000 to $9,000 to his hospital bills.

We are trying all that we can for our baby boy. We are accepting donations to offset some of the costs of moving forward with what the doctors say need to be done.

We are up to $18,000.00 in hospital bills at this time.

Prayer for Timmy

Dear God,

We lift up Timmy, our sweet and loyal Goldendoodle, into Your loving care. As he faces this risky surgery today, we ask for Your divine protection to surround him. Guide the hands of the surgeons and medical team—grant them wisdom, precision, and steady hearts.

Bring peace to Timmy’s spirit and comfort to those who love him dearly. Calm our fears and replace them with faith. Let Your healing power flow through every fiber of his being, restoring him to health and happiness.

We trust in Your mercy and grace. Watch over our fur baby and hold him close.

Amen.

We will update everyone when we get updates.
