UPDATE:
Hello everyone,
My mum and I just wanted to thank every single person for their kindness and generosity in donating to help us to get Timmy’s tail fixed.
Unfortunately, Timmy still hasn’t had his operation but it is booked in for Monday with a vet that is charging much less than the initial £1800 that we were quoted so that is a huge relief.
Timmy is also happier because she said he is allowed out a little bit since his wound has scabbed over, and he also doesn’t have to stay in a crate like the other vet said he would (don’t worry, we didn’t put him in one yet).
Anyway, he will get his tail chopped on Monday (he doesn’t know that yet ) and once he’s recovered he will be back out there living his best life.
Thank you again for every single donation, we are so very grateful for every penny.

Original post:
Hi, my name is Callum and I’m looking to raise money for my cat Timmy. One evening, Timmy got his tail caught in a door and cried our. Having heard him make similar sounds, accidentally stepping on his toes and being fine, we thought nothing of it until we later noticed blood on the walls.

We quickly realised it was Timmy and found gash in his tail. After taking him to the vets, we found out that the bone was sticking out and there was not enough skin to be stitched back together. So he will have to have part of his tail amputated and will have to stay indoors until fully healed.

We were initially told a price of £1000 which was quickly updated to £1800, neither of which we have enough money to pay. My mum has no-where near enough and, since I am still in school, this is the only thing that I can do to help.
