Time to Help a Helper

Donation protected
There comes a time in everyone's life where they need a helping hand. Right now, someone we know is needing our help.
Most of you have gotten to know Kim and Ethan via her Facebook page. We have all witnessed her insanity - she always looks for the humor in everything she does. She shares that humor with us and sometimes even share too much. She makes those posts to show us all that life is meant to be fun. That it's better to share the laughs than complain about things you can not control.
Kim has spent her life helping others via different non-profits, churches, schools and children based programs. She is also a friend that will do whatever needs to be done for her friends. Kim has given so much of her time to volunteering, her friends, and her son that she rarely has time for herself - that's the way she likes it. She prefers a busy, non-stop life but we all know she also needs her Netflix time.
Life changes and often those changes are not expected or planned for.
Kim is having to do something she never planned on doing and that's starting her life over.
In the past six months she has had to deal with more than she ever planned on. Recently divorced she has had to re-enter the workforce after being a stay-at-home mom for the past 14 years. She has been dealing with illnesses that have caused her health to deteriorate, her body has been put through a lot. Then there was the car accident. Thankfully her and Ethan were not injured. However, the Jeep she absolutely loved and was totaled - leaving her without transportation. Currently she is borrowing a friends vehicle but that's about to come to an end soon. There are also some very personal things that have happened to Kim recently that are affecting hers and Ethan's life - yes, there are things that Kim doesn't share on Facebook. Those of us that Kim has shared with will only say that it's not good and she needs all of our support.
If you know anything about Kim you know she is stubborn. She always takes on more than she should and she never asks for help. When help is offered, she says she's fine and has it covered. At Good Samaritans in Rockport, where Kim spent a lot of time, they believed in giving a "hand up not a hand out". Kim doesn't believe in handouts and would never take one. But she has realized she needs a helping hand up.
Right now she needs help with getting a reliable vehicle for her and Ethan. We can help her by coming together and providing her with assistance on a down payment. She also needs a washer, dryer and some living room furniture - so if you have or know someone who can provide those for her, please let me know.
Kim and Ethan have many friends on Facebook, lets show her how many of us there really are.
Let's help ease her struggle so she can go back to finding the humor in things we all often overlook and get her back to making those crazy posts.
