Time to Heal - Help for Jesse

Ten years ago, a life saving surgery was performed to remove a tumor (odontogenic myxoma) from Jesse's cheek. Along with the tumor, the right orbital floor, right sinus cavity and entire top row of teeth had to be extracted. This has been followed by a number of complications that have impacted his overall health. He has an ongoing infection due to the holes in the roof of his mouth left from the surgery. This has caused a great deal of pain on a daily basis. Two years ago, the only doctor that was willing to help him, passed away. Since then, it has been a real struggle to get the help he needs. Other doctors either don't know how to deal with his issues, or don't want the liability that could arise from his unique situation. There is a bar in his mouth that holds his prosthetic teeth in place. This bar is starting to fail and the acrylic teeth are cracking. These were only meant to be a temporary fix.

Recently, two doctors have emerged that believe they can help remedy his situation. One is a surgeon that wants to close the holes in the roof of his mouth. This should alleviate the ongoing infection. The other is a prosthodontist that wants to install a new bar & a new set of teeth. They would be made of a hard plastic which could last a lifetime with the proper care.

In spite of all he's been through, he has still managed to work to help support the family, but we would love for him to have an improved quality of life. Jesse was quoted $14,000 to get the process started. Any help you can give toward his much needed relief would be greatly appreciated!
