It's TIME to get some things off Sawyer's Chest!!!
OR at least START the process....
Hello All, My name is Sawyer, 34 y/o Trans-dude living in Florida.
*NOTE TO ALL-I understand that Go Fund Me asks for a tip after you donate, however please know they take 2.7% of everything everyone gives.*
Although I've wanted to start a go-fund-me for my Top Surgery (for nearly 3 years now- as some of my other FTM brothers can attest....wearing binders daily is NO cup of tea), I've obstained on asking for donations for surgery for multilple reasons. The largest being...guilt. Asking People I love, and potential strangers to give me money....knowing there are others out there in much greater need than me....Can be a tough pill to swallow as an Empath. And PLEASE let me pre-face this all by saying, if your heart and desires are to donate to those others...PLEASE PLEASE do.
I have simply come to a point in my life where I need to at least START this process somewhere. And although this may not be IDEAL. It's a place to start...

"Top Surgery" or chest masculinization Surgery is unfortunetely NOT CHEAP. And I do NOT have medical insurance of any kind. I pay for ALL Testosterone, Medicine and Medical Expenses, out-of-pocket.
Fortunetely, Some of the Best of the Best surgeons are right here in South Florida (I've got my eye on Dr. Sidhbh Gallagher-IG: @drsidhbhgallagher) and it costs $10,000. Not including Trip expenses of course.
I've decided it's time to advocate for myself. No one else is going too...And I don't know how else to make this happen.
I will not only be surprised, taken back, excited, loved, choked up about every single donated cent.....but I will be that much closer to feeling right and more confortable in my own skin.
I understand (and am okay with) the fact that this could take YEARS.....But, what better time than the present.

April 2021 Update: Started Trans Apparel company (Captain Apparel) in January to also help raise funds for top surgery and my name change is officially finished....next I’m off to file with the Social Security Office and then the DMV.
