Time Is Critical: Support Sezgin’s Emergency Lymphoma Cancer
Donation protected
On the night of December 30th, my brother Sezgin went through nearly 15 hours of intense vomiting, loss of consciousness, and loss of bowel control. Somehow, he managed to call emergency services myself and was taken to State Hospital. He later learned he had lost almost 4 liters of blood.
An endoscopy revealed a large ulcer at the start of my duodenum. The bleeding was stopped with hemoclips, but no biopsy was taken. After a brief stay in intensive care, he was discharged.
I brought him to my house in nature, hoping for better care and a calmer environment. Over the next three months, my brother was stable — I could look after him, his motivation was intact. But when they tried to perform a contrast-enhanced CT scan, they couldn’t even find a vein. No further tests were done at that time, possibly due to procedural reasons.
Eventually, a nurse managed to draw blood, and in March, we got a clearer picture of my basic lab values. Then in April, he developed severe itching and jaundice. It escalated quickly, and he was admitted to the hospital.
Two more endoscopies followed in the next couple of weeks. They attempted to place a stent between my stomach and small intestine, but the mass was too large and the procedure was stopped. Around the same time, I had upper and lower abdominal CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds.
He was recently diagnosed with an aggressive and rare cancer called Burkitt Lymphoma, which progressed rapidly before it could be treated. After months of misdiagnosis and delayed interventions, the disease has now spread to critical areas, requiring immediate and intensive care.
We are now in a race against time to begin a complex treatment protocol that could potentially save his life.
He is a 56-year-old father, a kind-hearted man, and a beloved member of our family who has been recently diagnosed with B Lymphoma — one of the most aggressive forms of cancer known to medicine. In just a few weeks, the disease has rapidly progressed, affecting his stomach, liver, and bile ducts. He’s already endured internal bleeding, jaundice, invasive procedures, and a drastic loss of strength.
This is a life-threatening diagnosis that requires intensive chemotherapy, stem cell transplantation, and constant hospital care. Every second matters.
Right now, we are trying to secure his possible permanent bed, scans, intrathecal (spinal) chemotherapy, and a possible transfer to a specialized cancer center. But our options are limited — both financially and medically — and the clock is ticking.
Among the urgent treatments he needs is a life-saving but highly costly stem cell transplant, which is only possible if we can secure enough financial support in time.
The funds we raise will go directly toward:
• Urgent diagnostic imaging (PET scan) - Every month.
• Hospitalization and intensive care - Private Hospital
• Chemotherapy and stem cell treatments - Private Hospital + Clinics
• Medication not covered by insurance
• Travel and transfer costs to better-equipped centers
The road to survival starts with costs as high as ~€50.000
Sezgin and his family are fighting with courage and dignity. But we cannot do it alone.
Please consider donating, sharing, or simply sending your support. Every contribution will bring us closer to giving him the chance he deserves — not just to survive, but to recover with hope and peace.
Thank you for standing with us in this fight for life.
