This is my friend Tim Florez (on the right). Tim is one of the best people I’ve ever met. He spent much of his life as a caregiver to a quadriplegic man named Keith. Tim is a passionate lover of music- we met in line for a Yes concert in 1997.

Tim was riding his bike home from a concert two years ago, when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver. He got banged up pretty bad, and lost all but three of his teeth as a result. He didn’t go to the hospital because he had to work with Keith in the morning.

He never complains about his missing teeth. He never complains about anything, really. But he hides his smile behind his hand, sparing people his mostly empty mouth.

If had $10,000, I’d give it to him. But I don’t, so I’ll ask everyone I know if they can contribute a little, to help

my friend have teeth. Everything helps!

It’s the least I can do. Tim makes the world a better place.
