Recovery is an extremely difficult yet rewarding process and our son/brother/friend Levi is tackling it head-on. We are so proud of the progress he has made and is making. He has been sober for over 16 months and in this time has worked toward his Welding Certification and pursued a job as an apprentice to an experienced Welder. He is expanding his knowledge and expertise with each passing day. He has taken accountability and is pursuing healing and mending of broken relationships. Having lived with his dad since pursuing sobriety, he is now ready to move into his own home and has diligently paid off debt and saved in order to make this happen.
Recently, while working towards being healthy in all of these ways, he discovered he needs $11,000 worth of dental work due to years of addiction and poor health. This financial burden is setting him back even further while he is trying to maintain a safe and loving environment, taking care of his physical and mental health, and seeking independence.
We would love to help him cut into this burden. If you have experienced who Levi is, he brings light to any room he is in. His care for others, his heart, and his capacity to love is very deep, and each day that passes he becomes more and more his true self, the person he was created to be. He is very reticent to seek the help of others - mending what is broken has become so important to him that he would rather do it all on his own, but we want to surround him with a community that supports his goals and desires. If you have any financial ability to help, please consider doing so, knowing it is an investment in a human being who has so much to offer!
