My name is Joseph Squires, from Newfoundland and Labrador, and at 36 I've already experienced a lifetime of trials and triumphs that have shaped me into the resilient person I am today. Family has always been my guiding light, and I've made sacrifices to ensure I'm there for those who need me, just as my loved ones have been there for me. Twenty years ago, I suffered a traumatic brain injury, and my mother was my rock, my shelter, and my safe haven throughout my recovery. Despite her own health struggles with lupus and other illnesses, she selflessly put my needs and those of my brother first, teaching me the true meaning of unconditional love. I'll forever be grateful for her unwavering support and generosity. After years of caring for her, I'm now embracing a new chapter, one that's filled with hope, promise, and possibility. This June. My girlfriend and I are planning a transformative trip to Ireland, where we'll connect with our heritage and honor my mother's memory in a celebration of life, love, and resilience. This journey will be a testament to the human spirit's capacity to overcome adversity and thrive. As I look to the future, I'm excited to explore new horizons, to continue making a positive impact in the world, and to create a brighter tomorrow, not just for myself, but for those around me. I'm now seeking support to help make this trip and my home renovation a reality, and I'm confident that with a little help, I can turn my dreams into a reality and make a real difference in the world
