Synopsis

Time Between Us is a short Coming of Age / Psychological Thriller that follows Jason, a teenage boy cursed to see the deaths of those he makes eye contact with. His abilities drive him into a state of constant fear, forcing him into isolation from the outside world. When he reconnects with old friends at a lake, he is unsettled by an optimistic girl who challenges him to confront his own fears and embrace the future.

Message from the Director

Hi! I’m Ayden, the Writer / Director of the upcoming short film, Time Between Us. Time Between Us is an emotionally charged short film that explores the complexities of destiny, the limits of control, and the power of living in the present, even when faced with the certainty of what lies ahead. My goal for this film is to capture the feeling of what it's like to be anxious about the future through a graphic and exaggerated lens, because we can all agree that growing up is intimidating. Accepting the inevitability of fleeting time can be a painful process throughout adulthood. Time Between Us explores how we can overcome cynical thoughts through the reminder of ever present joy within the seemingly mundane moments that we often take for granted.
