#TimberUnity Emergency Response Fund

When Labor Day Weekend winds created a massive fire situation across Oregon, families in Rural Oregon were left devastated by the fires' destructive paths.  Entire towns were ravaged, and people had their homes completely destroyed. Timber Unity mobilized to move truckloads of hay, livestock, and supplies to families in need across two states.

Then Winter Ice Storms hit in 2021, and Timber Unity mobilized again, moving critically needed trucks of firewood to help heat homes of Oregonians who were going days without power.

What we realized is that Timber Unity and its 65,000 group members can play an important role in volunteer disaster response.  Our natural resource workers have access to trucks, tools, labor, and other resources that are critical in the case of a state or local emergency response.  Combining cash donations with the resources of our members, Timber Unity has the logistical ability to stretch those resources to help the maximum amount of people possible in their worst moment of need.

Your Timber Unity Association Board will continue to work with local elected officials and nonprofits to make sure funds get directly to the families they know are in need, with every dime raised going directly to the people.
