Anyone who knows me knows that my dog Timber is my whole world. Anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting Timber knows how special he is.
Timber is our beloved rescue husky/shepherd. He loves his family, long walks, adventuring up north, and being the centre of attention. He’s been the heart of our family for 12 years, and there’s nothing we wouldn’t do for him.
Despite being an older pup, he is full of life, energy, and good health. He deserves to continue living his best life, cancer-free and happy.
Tim has just been diagnosed with soft tissue sarcoma, and his battle with cancer starts now.
His treatment plan is as follows:
Bloodwork, a biopsy and x-ray will be the first steps of treatment, and the appointments are booked for August. This will determine if his sarcoma is low or high grade (basically meaning how aggressive it is), and if it has spread anywhere else in his body. Then, he will receive surgery to remove the sarcoma mass, followed by chemotherapy treatments to kill off any remaining cancer. Depending on whether or not his cancer has spread anywhere else, there may be more treatment necessary after this. We plan to keep this page updated as we go with all information and progress of his treatments.
A general quote for his full treatment is anywhere from $15,000-$25,000. We know this is an insane amount of money. We also know that he deserves a fighting chance.
Timber is loved by so many people, so we’ve decided to open up this fundraising page for anyone who wants to help him. Any amount of donation is tremendously helpful and so appreciated by us. We don’t expect to raise enough to cover his entire treatment — but, we are grateful for every dollar we may raise for our sweet baby dog.
If there is any money left over by the end of his treatment, 100% of it will be donated to London Animal Care Centre, where we adopted Timber.
If you know us and Timber, or have felt the pain of a pet’s medical emergency, please consider donating. Every dollar is meaningful. Thank you for caring.
