Tim Williams Accident on I-5 Dec. 9th, 2020

On Dec. 9th, 2020 Tim Williams was traveling southbound on I-5 in his work vehicle. He works for Batteries Northwest in Salem, OR.  Two miles south of Woodburn, he suffered a medical emergency and veered off the road near milepost 269 crashing through some fence and stopping in a field. He was on his way back to Batteries Northwest at the end of his normal work day. No other vehicles were involved and we are thankful for that.

Two witnesses driving on I-5 saw Tim veer off the road. Someone went running into the field to rescue him. They broke out the driver's window because the door was locked, unhooked his seat belt and took Tim out of the vehicle and immediately started CPR. They are our angels and saved Tim's life. We are eternally grateful to these two men for what they did for Tim.

You can read the article on the accident in the Statesman Journal  www.statesmanjournal.com/story/news/2020/12/09/2-southbound-5-lanes-closed-after-crash-near-woodburn-expect-delays/3874282001/

The article is titled "Interstate 5 traffic snarled for hours after man suffers medical emergency, drives off-road near Woodburn".

Tim is married and now his family is in desperate need of help for Tim's many medical expenses. Tim is the only financial support for his family. His medical insurance will run out without monies coming in to pay the premiums. His wife will need money for their bills, rent, utilities, etc.

Tim is still in Salem Hospital unconscious and sedated and will be for quite some time. He suffered a large laceration on his head with many staples in it likely from hitting the steering wheel.  He has a concussion that requires the hospital to keep him cool to help his brain before they can warm him back up to try to wake him up. They do not know the extent of this injury at this time. He is hooked to a breathing tube and will need expensive surgeries when they bring him out of sedation.

We ask for prayers for Tim and any kindness to help his family would be deeply appreciated. Please help Tim and his family. Tim is much loved by his brothers and sisters and wife and extended family.

It sounds like Tim is highly thought of at Tim's work at Batteries Northwest, they said so many nice things about Tim when I went to update them. We are sooooo proud of Tim and we need positive thoughts for him to recover.

I am Tim's oldest sister Jeannine writing his story to help Tim as much as I can. Tim has 5 siblings in total.  His other siblings are Jim, Laura, Judy and Bill (who is watching over him from heaven). Tim's wife is Gina. Tim has many nieces and nephews. Tim is much loved by our family.

With Covid, it makes it even more difficult to see him in ICU but we are doing our best.

All we can do is ask for your help. Please help him. Thank you. Remember, always be kind and the world is a better place.
