Tim Whitlow's Medical Treatment

Donation protected
My cousin Lauren and her husband Tim have been hit with the heavy news that the pain in Tim's neck that started a few months ago was in fact Stage 4 Lymphoma.  He has gone through chemo and radiation all the while keeping hours at work, but he was recently sent to Cleveland Clinic for a consult since the physician felt that the response to current treatment wasn't optimal.  The new regimen will include on site treatment as well as home treatment, and this is going to erase the possibility for him to work at all;  this is a huge concern on top of everything else they are facing when considering that Tim maintains health benefits through work.  I am copying and pasting a short blurb below from my cousin, Lauren, below, describing the situation in more detail.  These two are a beyond wonderful couple, and I feel this is a small way I can try to help them in a troubling time.  PLEASE CONSIDER THIS CAUSE AND SHARE WITH ALL!

From a post by my cousin, Lauren Whitlow:

Prayer warriors. We could really use some prayers
In December Tim was diagnosed with Stage 4 Nodular Sclerosing Hodgkins Lymphoma. January, he started chemotherapy treatments. His Oncologist said most people hit remission within 2 treatments, but would still have to continue the full 6 months of chemotherapy. If Tim is in remission, they would be able to take away one of the drugs in his regimen. So the Doc. ordered a PET/CT scan. Unfortunately, Tim's results were not what we wanted to hear. He isn't responding as well as was hoped for. So his Oncologist sent him to a Hematology Oncologist specialist, at the Cleveland Clinic. Tim was told that as he is responding to the current treatment, it isn't as well as hoped for. So he will need a new regimen. The one he is currently on now, he has stayed very strong through. This new one, will be a great deal stronger and add 2 more drugs than he is currently use to. Along with that, he will have chemotherapy pills and injections to take at home. The Doc. told us this is not a guarantee either, but told us the next steps if this one doesn't work. It's scary to think, but at least we know there is a full treatment plan in place. (Radiation and stem cell therapy) His new treatment will start this Wednesday, the 20th. We aren't sure what to expect, or how he will respond and it makes us pretty nervous.
We know the Lord is with us, and has His mighty hands in our situation. We truly wouldn't have been able to get this far, if it wasn't for our faith in Him. -Or without the outpouring love, support and prayers from everyone. We ask for continued prayers through our journey, as we truly believe the Lord hears our cries and prayers. We pray and hope that this next regimen will be what is needed and he will not have further his treatments or go through any more than he has already endured.
